“Black Art, Bright Nights” – February 28, 2025 Featured Artist: Brielle “Sunshine” Wallace
Sometimes a single night can feel like the culmination of years of vision, effort, and quiet belief. On Friday, February 28th, Imagination by Sunshine had the incredible honor of being featured at The MC Hotel in Montclair as part of “Black Art, Bright Nights” — a curated celebration of Black voices in art.

We’ve always said our work belongs in rooms filled with light, joy, and intention — and on this night, it was exactly that.
Set against the stunning cityscape views and modern luxury of The MC Hotel, this event brought our artwork to a new level — both literally and symbolically. Seeing Sunshine’s paintings installed in one of Montclair’s most iconic and upscale spaces was a powerful moment for us as a brand, a family, and a creative force.
The hotel carried her signature blend of representational landscapes and emotional softness. Guests were able to engage with the work up close — noticing every brushstroke, every layer of color, and every feeling behind the canvas.
It wasn’t just an art show. It was visibility. A visual declaration that Black art belongs in every space — from grassroots galleries to luxury hotels.

🎶 The Energy of the Evening
The room was filled with artists, collectors, creatives, and curious locals — many seeing Imagination by Sunshine for the first time. As DJ Toni B carried the night into the rooftop afterparty, our artwork remained downstairs, glowing under the lights, quietly making its mark.
Prints were inquired about. Conversations were sparked. And most importantly, a deeper connection was formed between our work and a broader, more diverse audience.

💫 Why This Moment Mattered
Being featured at The MC Hotel wasn’t just a highlight — it was a statement. It showed that our work speaks across spaces, speaks across class and setting, and most of all, speaks for itself.
We’re not just painting for gallery walls — we’re creating for homes, for hearts, for hotel lobbies, and for the people who see something of themselves in a sunflower, a field, a face, a dream.
✨ Stay Close to the Light
Thank you to everyone who came through that night, who reposted, supported, and stood in the space with us. Your energy fuels the work.
